Wellness Policy Information

The Oregon Trail School District Wellness Policy was developed in response to federal legislation which mandated that each school district participating in the USDA funded school meals program “establish a local school wellness policy”. The legislation required that the policy set goals in the following four different areas and to have a plan for measuring policy implementation.

  • Nutrition Education
  • Physical Activity
  • Nutrition Guidelines for all foods sold on campus during the school day
  • Other school-based activities designed to promote student wellness

The Triennial Assesment of the District Welness Policy is listed bellow and was presented to the School Board at the December 2021 meeting.

In fall of 2024, the Wellness Policy and Procedures were reviewed and the updates are available below.  They were finalized by the School Board during the January 2025 Board meeting.
